Happy Halloween!
Bennett and I had a wonderfully eerie walk to our music class this morning. We walked through a beautiful area of Toronto called Hogg's Hollow. The houses there (some old and some brand new) are magnificent and not carbon copies of each other. Even better though are the trees - especially at this time of the year. They cascade over the road making you feel like you're walking through a tunnel. Parts of the sky had darkened to black, but the rain held out until our trip home. Bennett slept the whole ride in his stroller, and I was given a chance to be woken up by a fresh breeze and my diet Coke. We passed a couple of kids (10 year olds?) wearing halloween masks. One of them was riding on two skooters like they were skis while the other one pushed him uphill. I smiled at them, thinking how fun it would be to be a kid again at Halloween. Hopefully the rain has passed for the day, and we'll have a great night for trick or treating. Bennett will be making the rounds to Dana and Jason's, and then to Mike's parents. Hannah, Jack and Henry, keep those costumes on until we arrive, cause we're so looking forward to seeing them.
